The doctoral programme was jointly created by ETH Zurich’s Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) and the Roche’s Institute of Human Biology to advance bioengineered translational medicine. Co-supervised by experts from both institutions in Basel, doctoral students work on translational models and tools in gene-, cell- and organoid-based therapies to meet the real-world challenges in translational medicine. Research projects take approximately four years. Having access to the campuses and facilities at both Basel-based institutions, students benefit from a wide range of training experiences, networking opportunities and career guidance.
