Research

With an increased understanding of complex biological systems, there have been extraordinary advances in human tissue engineering, molecular and cell biological technology development, and big data analytics. In this programme, leading scientists from both ETH D-BSSE and Roche IHB jointly identify existing challenges to develop and enhance human model systems for gene-, cell-, and organoid-based therapies. These challenges form the basis of the doctoral projects focusing on the development of translational models and methods.
