Two highly competitive programmes run jointly by ETH Zurich and Roche, aim to attract promising young scientists from across the world by offering a top-class comprehensive opportunity at two levels:
Doctoral programme
Launched by the ETH Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) and the Roche Institute of Human Biology, this joint programme trains doctoral researchers in projects related to human model systems and biosystems engineering for translation.

Postdoc programme
Created by ETH Zurich and its Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) and Roche Pharma Research and Early Development, this programme attracts postdoctoral researchers to work on projects in bioengineering for translational medicine and therapeutics.

The vision of both programmes is to contribute to the most urgent medical needs and support the next generation of bioengineers in developing solution-driven applications.
Both programmes provide junior researchers the opportunity to conduct their research in academia and the pharmaceutical industry at the city campuses of ETH Zurich and Roche in Basel.
