Mission and Setup

This doctoral programme is a collaboration between the ETH Zurich Departement of Biosystems Science and Engineering D-BSSE and Roche’s Institute of Human Biology (IHB). It aims to attract and train the world’s best young researchers to tackle difficult translational challenges and develop the next generation of human model systems. Studying at the two campuses of Roche and ETH Zurich in Basel, doctoral students will have the opportunity to develop new tools and methods in human biology, molecular, cellular and tissue engineering, and big data analytics which are vital to address existing and future challenges in translational medicine.
