Objectives

The objective of this application-oriented postdoctoral programme is to develop new tools and methods needed to address existing and future pertinent problems in biosystems engineering for medical translation and the development of potential therapeutics. The Bio-Engineering Systems for Therapeutics (BEST) fellowship is a fully funded grant tied to a specific research project and the goals and timeline defined therein. Fellows are formally employed by ETH Zurich but have full access rights to the two campuses, facilities and expertise at both Basel-based partners. In a vibrant and inspiring environment and co-supervised by leading experts at both partner institutions, the BEST fellow will be coached through all stages of the project to become the best prepared for future academic and industrial leadership roles.
