Motivation for Collaboration

The Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of ETH Zurich, with its unique expertise and strength in molecular and cellular systems engineering and biodata sciences, has joined efforts with Roche’s Pharma Research and Early Development to cooperate on highly innovative research projects. Scientists can apply for specific high-risk, high-gain projects jointly identified by Roche and ETH Zurich. Besides the possibility to apply for posted project proposals, applicants are invited to further shape those proposals. In addition, applicants can come up with their own project proposals in the specific field of interest of this programme. In case of being selected, postdoctoral researchers will pursue their research at both campuses following all principles of academic freedom and scientific conduct.
