Application

The Bio-Engineering Systems for Therapeutics (BEST) fellowship is a fully funded grant awarded to an individual researcher for the duration of the respective research project. The application procedure is highly competitive and the applicant must prove a high-quality track record of skills and achievements.

Eligibility

Scientists holding a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) and a record of outstanding achievements are eligible for the BEST Fellowship. The academic background must be from biology, biotechnology, computational sciences, biomedicine, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, pharmacy, and other related disciplines. Duration and funding

The BEST fellowship is a fully funded grant awarded to an individual researcher for the duration of the respective research project, which in most cases ranges between two and three years. The funding is intended to cover the researcher’s salary, travel costs and research expenses. The BEST fellow will be an employee at ETH Zurich with full access to both the Roche and the ETH campuses in Basel.
